Compliance
Compliance lists what has to be filed and attended and by when, across all your opposition cases, hearings and renewals.
Compliance tracker

Our Compliances: what your firm must file or attend next, with overdue items first.
The tracker has three views.
| View | Shows |
|---|---|
| Dashboard Compliance | Items that started in the last seven days |
| Our Compliances | What your firm must file next, overdue items first, plus renewals due within a year |
| Opponent Compliances | What the other side must file next, what they filed recently, and when they missed a deadline |
Each row shows the case number, trademark, the step that is due, the deadline, the days left and a status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Due in the future |
| Overdue | The deadline has passed and the step has not been recorded |
| Responded | The other side filed this step recently |
Use Show only overdue and the search box to narrow the list. Select a row to open the case.
Hearings
IP India publishes its upcoming hearings on public hearing boards, and Yatri Trade reads them every night. When a hearing is listed for one of your portfolio marks or opposition cases, it appears in Our Compliances as Hearing, with the kind of hearing underneath:
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Show cause hearing | A hearing on the Registry's objection to an application |
| Opposition hearing | The hearing of an opposition, after the evidence is complete |
| Post-registration hearing | A hearing on a request made after registration, such as a change in the register |
A newly listed hearing is marked NEW for a week. An opposition case also gets the hearing date in its Hearing field, and the change is added to the case history and to Updates. If IP India moves a hearing to another day, the date changes here the next morning.
The link to the online hearing room is not on the hearing board. IP India shows it on its cause list from 10:00 on the day of the hearing. Open the mark and follow the link under Hearings listed by IP India.
Renewals
A registered mark must be renewed with Form TM-R. Renewals appear in Our Compliances from a year before the registration expires. After expiry they stay for six months, the period in which a late renewal with a surcharge is still possible.
Competitor compliance

Competitor compliance with one overdue item. The note says the opposition is deemed abandoned under Rule 45.
Competitor compliance is a quick view of the other side's deadlines across all your cases, with the last action on each case and a filter for overdue items. A missed deadline by an opponent can mean their opposition is deemed abandoned, which is useful to know before a hearing.
